Canal banks + neighborhoods - 24:49

Still beat up with a cold I've had all week. Busy day today, too, which put me until after 8 p.m. for a run. Got out and ran at a brisk pace. So it was better than nothing.

1.5 mile wo; 20 minute fartlek; 1.5 mile wd

Ran from Gold's and did a steady warmup on the roads. Then did the workout - 2x(2:00, 1:30, 1:00, :30) with equal rest - on the roads and the Capital High track. Pace was around 5:30/mile on the 2 min segments and a bit faster on the others. This is a great workout to get back into shape, especially if the recoveries are kept honest.

A.M. - Canal banks - 15:10

Quick run to warmup in the morning before doing some weights & core (15 minutes worth)

P.M. - Greenbelt - 33:50

Steady pace with Mat from his house in the pouring rain. Nice run, except my blood sugar was off and I was kind of light-headed. Too much coffee today probably part of it...

A.M. - Neighborhoods - 18:56

Ran right after I woke up to warm up a little bit for some weights (20 minutes). Wore my new Brooks adreneline, which felt pretty good.

P.M. - Borah track - 18:20

Another short run. Walked about a mile with Emily when I was done and did 2 sets of drills (skips, buttkicks, high knees, a-skips, crossover, etc)

Wilson Creek/Reynolds Creek - 1:21

Really great place to run. Mat and I did a loop (got lost a few times) that was excellent. If it was closer, I would run it every day. As it is, I will try to get out there a few more times this spring for some longer loops. Running along the Chinese Canals into the Reynolds Creek canyon was spectacular scenery.

A.M. - Canal banks - 15+

Ran easy right after I woke up. Did 15 minutes of upper body weights after the run

P.M. - Canals + BK track - 31:29

Steady warmup, then a mile at MP (6:12) followed by 3 x 400 at 1:24, 1:23 and 1:20, and then some quicker pickups (3 x 25 seconds). Did jogs of about a minute between the efforts. Nothing exciting, but not too bad for a 30 minute workout.

Average weight for the week: 184.4
