Running Accomplishments:

I've been running since junior high. Ran middle distance in college with a PB of 1:52 for the 800 meters, then continued running with varying degrees of seriousness throughout my 20's and 30's. Moved up in distance and even ran three marathons (2:43 PB). Now just trying to stay in shape and find balance in life in my 40's.

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Work out 30 minutes a day, six days a week

 

 

 

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy and consistent.

Canal banks + Cassia Park - 1:01

Struggled big time on this run. Only 3 runs last week was not great for training consistency. My groin started hurting at mile 3 and was still hurting Sunday night. Overall pace of 7:36/mile.

Run home from South+ - 46:27

Went in to work for an hour or two to get some things done, then ran home. Hit the greenbelt at Ann Morrison then went up the Orchard St. access. Ran steady for 5 miles, then did some pickups the last mile or so. Didn't feel very good again today, and I also overdressed. Overall pace 7:09/mile.

Started out easy, then realized I'd forgotton my keys, so I had to turn around and then high tail it to work.

A.M. - Run to work - 24:41

Just a basic run to work at a shade under 8:00/mile pace.

P.M. - Run home - 23:30

Ran home on the canals. Felt ok.

P.M.II - Camelsback trails - 43:11

Last minute run with Mat and the Ten Toes club. Part of it on some cool trails I'd never been on before. A headlamp would have been nice, but with Mat in front and Alan Newton right behind I could see ok. Hard effort with all the hills (and my 3rd run of the day - as many runs as last week, I think).

Legs were a bit dead but other than that I felt ok

Via the canals. Did not feel like running, but that's the beauty of commuting to work. If you want to get home, you have to run.

Rock Creek Park - 34:09

From Mom and Dad's house. Cut across the field, which saved a few minutes. Typical spring Twin Falls weather - cold and very windy. Did 8 x 20 pickups on the way home.
