Rocky Canyon Rd - 1:19

Ran from the dirt to the top and back down, same as last week. Very warm day and quite a few runners out getting some last minute training in. The snow was a lot more melted, so I didn't have to walk the last stretch, but I wasn't going much faster than a walk anyway. On the way down I practiced some faster downhill running before catching Emily and jogging in the last 1.5-2 miles with her.

Have fun at Robie Creek, remember stay away from the Table of Temptation and instead enjoy the brew at the end. Good luck!

So you're telling me I can't take shots while in the middle of a grueling half marathon? Where's the fun in that?

What was your split up to the top last year, Jeff?

I am not quite sure, I will have to go look at the website. I know that I passed about 5-6 people coming back down the backside and I was the 3rd fastest down (behind only first and second place).

I hit the summit in 1:02:34 and finished at 1:27:12.
